“They are amazing ❤ We are so pleased”

Amy & Jezz are such a lovely couple. After meeting them for their engagement shoot in Brighton, I knew that the wedding was going to nice and relaxed and good fun, and it was.

They decided to have a Pelham House wedding in Lewes. Pelham House is a beautiful 16th century townhouse hotel. The classic architecture and lovely gardens make it a really great place to tie the knot.

I met up with Jezz in the morning, as the guys were starting to get ready and there was a minor sense of panic. Just kidding, that was definitely a bit of an exaggeration. They all had cravats to wear with their traditional attire, however they had quickly realised that they weren’t as easy to tie as they had thought. Fear not though, YouTube came to the rescue and the problem was solved with relative ease and a good few laughs. I think we’ve all been there, not sure what we used to do before we had these things at out fingertips. Luckily the girls didn’t have any such issues. All the bridal prep went along very smoothly.

The Pelham house wedding ceremony was held in one of the ground floor rooms overlooking the gardens. It was short but heartfelt. What followed must have been the most confetti I have ever seen used after a wedding. It was awesome though and really made for some great photos.
After what was a lovely meal and speeches, the photo booth and fancy dress items for the guests to use really set the tone for the evening. Even the videographer and I ended up wearing Hawaiian lei necklaces. Everyone had an absolute blast and I don’t think I saw the dance floor empty the whole time. What more can you ask for? What a great day.

If you’re thinking about having a Pelham House wedding I would love to be a part of it.

Catherine & Ashton had an awesome Brookfield Barn wedding. Nestled in the stunning Sussex countryside, it really is a great place to tie the knot.

The weather was on our side and they were able to have the ceremony outside which was lovely. After which the whole Bridal party danced down the aisle as they exited. Definitely a first for me, but it was a really nice touch and set the tone for the rest of the day.

The best man had Ashton on the edge of his seat the whole time, with some very funny stories. You could see the fear in his eyes about what he might bring up next. Just when he thought that he might be safe, his best man made a lovely congratulatory drink for the 2 of them. This consisted of a pint mixed with 2 shots and Red Bull. It was all very amusing. That’s what you call friends!!

The Brookfield Barn wedding venue has some really beautiful and different locations, so it was great to be able to explore them with Catherine & Ashton after the meal. Whilst I whisked them both away for a few golden hour portraits, the guests were entertained by beer pong and various other outdoor games.

Amazingly, they were all still standing after the beer pong and as the sun went down they all joined Catherine & Ashton for their first dance. Though I have to say the person who was really tearing up the dance floor was Ashton’s little nephew. He really had some moves I tell you. I don’t think I saw him leave the dance floor all night. It certainly was a fun wedding to be a guest at.

It really was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this Brookfield Barn wedding. Here are some of my favourites from the day. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

“They are amazing”

Leah & Lee had such a lovely Hilton Hotel Brighton Wedding on the seafront in Brighton. On a lovely sunny day, as it was on their wedding, you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I could be slightly biased as I am a Brightonian, however, I do stand by it.

From the first meeting I had with Leah & Lee I knew we were going to get on well. They were so laid back and just took everything in their stride. And this was the same on the wedding day. They were both so relaxed and just looking forward to celebrating with their nearest and dearest.

Both the ceremony and reception were held in the extremely impressive Clarence Suite. Originally built as a chapel in the grounds of the hotel, because of this boasts a very high vaulted ceiling. It really felt very grand and is absolutely stunning.

After the Hilton Hotel, Brighton wedding ceremony we went out to grab a few shots on the seafront and iconic bandstand. The wedding breakfast then followed with some both very funny and also heartfelt speeches. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house at one point.

The bridal suite at the hotel has a stunning balcony with sea view. We luckily had a bit of a gap as the evening guests started arriving to pop up there for a few relaxed portraits. It’s not every day that you get to shoot in these types of locations so it was great to have the opportunity.

I had such a blast at their wedding. It really felt like I was hanging out with old friends. Leah & Lee, I wish you guys all the best for the future.

If you’re thinking about having a Hilton Hotel, Brighton wedding I would love to be a part of it. Please get in touch to request more info or to have a chat about your plans.

“Thank you so much they are fab. Can’t stop looking at them, so many details to see”

Lee-Ann & Matt had a spectacular Kensington Roof Gardens wedding. The ceremony was quaint and touching, attended by their closest friends and family. The ceremony was followed by champagne outside, as flamingos casually walk around. That’s not something that you can say often at a wedding, or anywhere else really. All of this, 100 feet above Kensington High Street, in the centre of London.

If you’ve never been before, I highly recommend a visit next time you’re up in London. It was the first time that I have had the pleasure of shooting a wedding there and it really did live up to my high expectations.

After the cocktail hour, we said goodbye to the flamingos and the guests moved to the walled Tudor Garden for the wedding breakfast. Yes, it is as magical as it sounds and truly was a special place to be.

Following the wedding breakfast, we moved once again for another surprise, the Spanish Garden. Another stunning location at the Kensington Roof Gardens wedding venue. The drinks were flowing and the atmosphere was awesome. The live guitarist and singer really set the scene and even evoked a few karaoke cameos from Lee-Ann and her brother. Lee-Ann & Matt alongside their friends and family spent the lovely, sunny afternoon dancing away. It really was a lot of fun and great to be a part of.

At the end of the day, Lee-Ann & Matt got changed and packed their bags. They had decided to do the traditional thing and went straight to the airport to go off on their honeymoon. I’m sure the time away relaxing in the sun would have given them plenty of time to reflect on their truly memorable wedding day.

Here is a selection of my favourites from their Kensington Roof Gardens wedding.

“They are amazing!!!”

We started at Claire’s Mum’s house for the bridal prep, followed by a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Anglo Saxon, St Nicholas’s church in Worth. Claire & the bridesmaids travelled to the church in style. Claire was in a classic VW Beatle convertible with the bridesmaids following in a beautiful VW camper. A very cool way to travel at anytime, but especially on your wedding day.

Following on from the ceremony we all travelled in convoy to East Sussex for their Pangdean Barn wedding reception. Pangdean Barn’s stunning converted barn, beautiful gardens and location at the foot of the South Downs make it a really great place to tie the knot. I’ve shot many weddings there and it’s always a pleasure to go back.

After some very some very funny speeches, most notably from Matt’s older brother (the best man). Who knows you better than your brother? Though, I’m not sure if that is a good or a bad thing when it comes to a best man speech.

The party was filled with live music, starting with the first dance. A close friend of theirs sang as they enjoyed their first dance together. After which the party got started with music from the awesome covers band, The Undercovers who kept the dance floor full all night.

It’s always a real pleasure to be able to be a part of such a special day. If you’re planning a Pangdean Barn wedding I would love to hear about your plans and be a part of your big day.
