WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FAQS

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

The majority of weddings that I shoot are in London, the South East of England and Sussex, however, I have also shot weddings across the UK and abroad.

I love travelling so there’s nothing better than being able to combine this with a wedding abroad. No matter the destination, I’d love to hear about your plans and the opportunity to document your big day.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

After your wedding, you will receive a minimum of 500 edited high-resolution photographs. However, I’ll never put a restriction on the total so there will often be more than this.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR US TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS AFTER THE WEDDING?

I usually aim to have your full photo gallery ready within 6 weeks of your wedding.

However, during peak season I can often be shooting multiple weddings a week so it can take up to a maximum of 8 weeks if your wedding takes place in Spring or Summer.

HOW WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING DAY?

I’ve always loved candid shots, the moments between moments where real emotion lives. As a wedding photographer, I try to be a background player and not a puppet-master so you can just relax and trust I’m capturing those moments you hope I am.

The majority of the day I will shoot your wedding in a documentary style. Working in this way allows me to blend in with your guests and capture moments as they happen naturally. This has got me some great results in the past you can see for yourself here, and has also won me some awards.

 DO YOU DO GROUP PHOTOS?

Whilst I do shoot the majority of the day in a documentary style I do also think that it’s important to get those key group photos so I am always happy to include them.

I like to suggest that you keep the group photos to around 8-10 different groups so that you’re not standing around for too long.

This helps to maximise your time spent enjoying the day with your friends and family.

HOW DO WE SECURE THE DATE?

To secure the day I take a £350 booking fee. This is then deducted from the total of whichever package you decide to go for. The remainder of the balance won’t need to be paid until 4 weeks before the wedding date.

DO YOU OFFER WEDDING ALBUMS?

Yes, absolutely! I love wedding albums and think that seeing the photos printed is the best way to enjoy them. I offer a couple of different options for high-quality albums, all hand-made in Italy by Graphi Studio.

For more information and pricing please get in touch here.

CAN YOU PROVIDE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

Sometimes for larger weddings or logistical reasons, a second photographer is a great investment. I can provide a high-quality associate photographer if you require one.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE NOT ABLE TO MAKE THE WEDDING DUE TO ILLNESS OR AN EMERGENCY?

I take my commitment to you when you book me very seriously and so it would have to be something incredibly serious for me not to be able to make it to your wedding. However, I am a member of a large network of like-minded high-quality photographers, so in a worst-case scenario, I would be able to tap into this to find a suitable replacement for you.

ARE YOU INSURED?

As a full-time professional wedding photographer, I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance cover.

DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT WITH YOU?

Yes, I always bring along 2 camera bodies, spare flashes, lenses and memory cards so that I’m covered in case of any eventuality. I also use two memory cards in each camera so that there is always a backup.

HOW LONG DO YOU STAY FOR ON THE DAY?

My standard all-day coverage is 8 hours so that we have enough time to capture everything from the morning prep until soon after the first dance. However, I do also have a 12-hour coverage option if you decide that you don’t want to miss getting shots of the dance floor craziness later on in the night. They always make for some great photos.

WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO THE PHOTOS?

The copyright always remains with the photographer, so I retain that, but you are free to share and print the images and use them how you wish for personal use.

So this means posting your photos on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter is completely fine, so long as you aren’t profiting from them or selling them on.

I don’t like having to place restrictions like these on my work but it’s a sad truth in the modern age that photographers work is often used without their consent for others gain.

I hope that you think that I would be a good fit to be your wedding photographer and that you’ll be in touch soon to tell me all about your wedding plans.
