“Thank you again for making the whole experience simple and so comforting, looking forward to the wedding pictures now!”

Just like a lot of couples that I work with, Claire & Alex and had never had any photos taken professionally and thought that it would be a good idea to do an engagement shoot to help them feel more relaxed on the wedding day. Engagement shoots are great for this as they’re super relaxed and help to give you an idea of what to expect on the big day.
They’re based in Brighton but fancied having a more countryside feel to the pre wedding shoot so we headed over to the beautiful Stanmer Park on the outskirts of Brighton. If you haven’t been there before I highly recommend going to check it out and explore. It’s so expansive and there’s so much to see. I’ve been so many times with my wife and every time we go we still find new routes and areas. It also makes an incredible location for an engagement shoot.
The weather hadn’t been great leading up to the day of the shoot but by a stroke of luck, it was absolutely perfect on the day. The soft evening light streaming through the trees was absolutely stunning.
I had such a nice time with them both and it really is a nice way to get to know each other a bit more too before the big day. As we walked and talked Claire told me that she used to be a dancer and was still very passionate about it so I wanted to include a shot that gave a little nod to her past. In Stammer Park, there are the most incredible, giant, ancient trees that I knew we could do something cool with. Check out the last photo in this post to see what we did.
