“We absolutely love them!!”

The morning prep started at Allie’s parent’s house in Brighton. I think the award for the best reaction from a bride’s dad after seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time definitely goes to Allie’s dad. It was brilliant!

From Brighton, I set off to catch up with Henry at the beautiful St Andrews church in Edburton. A quaint little church tucked away at the bottom of the South Downs, it really was a lovely place for an intimate ceremony with their nearest and dearest.

Henry had mentioned to me before the ceremony that he was worried about being able to hold it together when he saw Allie walk down the aisle and his emotions did get the better of him briefly. It was such a beautiful moment though and I felt very lucky to be there to witness it.

After the ceremony, we made our way to their Tottington Manor wedding reception, a short drive from the church. It really is a lovely venue and the location and panoramic views from there are absolutely stunning.

As the wedding breakfast and speeches came to an end the sun was starting to go down and the light was incredible. Wanting to make the most of it, we jumped in the car and went to a beautiful cornfield at the bottom of the South Downs to grab some golden hour portraits. I love when we’re able to get away for a short time on the wedding day and make the most of the light but have you back before your guests even know you’re gone.

As the DJ, Brett of Hotsteppaz got the tunes going the party really got started and the dance floor was packed, it was awesome, so much fun and a really great way to end a special day.
