Planning a wedding and booking a photographer can be a bit of a minefield so to help you get started I have put together a list of the most common questions that I get asked by my couples.

Wedding Photography FAQs

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

The majority of weddings that I shoot are in London and the South East of England, however, I have also shot weddings across the UK and abroad. I love travelling so there’s nothing better than being able to combine this with a wedding abroad. No matter the destination I’d love to hear about your plans

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

After the wedding, you will receive a minimum of 500 edited high-resolution photos. Though there’s no restriction on the total so it is quite often more than this.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR US TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS AFTER THE WEDDING?

I normally aim to have your full gallery-ready 6 weeks after the wedding, however during peak season it can take up to a maximum of 8 weeks.

HOW WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING DAY?

The majority of the day I will shoot your wedding in a documentary style, Working in this way allows me to blend in with your guests and capture moments as they happen naturally.

DO YOU DO GROUP PHOTOS?

Whilst I do shoot the majority of the day in a documentary style I do also think that it’s important to get those key group photos so I am always happy to include them. I tend to suggest keeping the group photos to around 8-10 so that you’re standing around for too long when you could be spending that time enjoying the day with your friends and family.

HOW DO WE SECURE THE DATE?

To secure the day I take a £350 booking fee. This is then deducted from the total of whichever package you decide to go for. The remainder of the balance is then not due until 4 weeks before the wedding date.

DO YOU DO WEDDING ALBUMS?

Yes, absolutely. I love wedding albums and really believe that seeing the photos printed is the best way to enjoy them. I offer a couple of different extremely high-quality albums, hand-made in Italy by Graphi Studio. For more info and pricing please get in touch.

CAN YOU PROVIDE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

Sometimes for larger weddings or logistical reasons, a second photographer is a good idea. I am able to provide a high-quality associate photographer if you require one.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE NOT ABLE TO MAKE THE WEDDING DUE TO ILLNESS OR AN EMERGENCY?

I take my commitment to you when you book me very seriously and so it would have to be something incredibly serious for me not to be able to make it to your wedding. However, I am a member of a large network of likeminded high-quality photographers, so in a worst-case scenario, I would be able to get in tap into this to find a suitable replacement for you.

ARE YOU INSURED?

As a full-time professional wedding photographer, I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance cover.

DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT WITH YOU?

Yes, I always bring along 2 camera bodies, spare flashes, lenses and memory cards so that I’m covered. I also use 2 memory cards in each camera so that there is a backup.

HOW LONG DO YOU STAY FOR ON THE DAY?

My standard all-day coverage is 10 hours so that we have enough time to capture everything from the morning prep until the party is in full swing. Additional hours can be booked if you decide that you don’t want to miss getting shots of the dance floor craziness later on in the night. They do always make for some great photos.

WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO THE PHOTOS?

The copyright always remains with the photographer, so I retain that, but you are free to share and print the images and use them how you wish for personal use. The only restriction is the images being used commercially without my consent.

If you like what you’ve seen and think I’d be a great fit for your wedding I’d love to hear about your plans for the big day
